A lot happens and there are a lot of characters, not just Pinky and Brain but also all the characters from 'Animaniacs', but luckily to me it didn't feel like too much going on or like there were too many characters which were dangers. It was so much fun to spot them and although there were a lot of references and such it didn't become exhausting or like you were bombarded with too much. The writers clearly had a ball with the writing here. Script and humour in "The Star Warners" are very witty with clever references and inside jokes throughout.
The theme song is one of the catchiest in animation, have always felt that. The music scoring is dynamic and composed in a way that is always adding to the actions, expressions and gestures and doing what good music scores in animation should do in enhancing them.
As to be expected, the animation is colourfully vibrant, with the characters well designed and the backgrounds are meticulous in their detail. There is a huge amount for adults as well, and actually from my perspective adults will get more out of both due to getting the humour and writing much more and being much more familiar with what is referenced and parodied. Neither of them should be dismissed as shows just for children, who will have no trouble enjoying them. Both of them stand out as colourful, very funny and clever shows, with truly great characters. It is also a very unique episode for the show, because Pinky and Brain are partnered too with the characters from another one of my favourite animated shows 'Animaniacs'. "The Star Warners" is the last 'Pinky and the Brain' episode and parodying 'Star Wars' it goes out with a bang. Loving Studio Ghibli and anime just as much, and became and still am very fond of Russian animation, most of which very and criminally underrated. Was raised on mostly Disney and Looney Tunes, as well as Hanna Barbera and Tom and Jerry, but tastes have broadened over time. Have made no secret of loving animation of all styles, directors and studios from all decades, regardless of budget.
